After having my account for some time, I decided it was time to inform all you guys about me, who I am, and what I do. First off you should know that I wasn’t born here, and by here I mean America. I was born on the other side of the world in Tehran, Iran and moved to California with my family when I was nine years old. I didn’t speak a word of English at the time and since I was so young, I was able to pick up on the new language very quickly. Fast forward to 2012, I began attending community college and transferred to UC Berkeley two years later. I graduated with my bachelors degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in neurobiology. I am currently working in neurobiology research at UCSF. Working full-time with a long commute often doesn’t give me enough time to post on my instagram, develop new recipes, and share as much as I want to with my followers. My real passion lies within food and wellness. I am crazy about food, cooking, and eating all the time! I absolutely love creating new recipes, discovering new products and sharing them with other people. I think that being healthy starts from within us and a lot of that has to do with the food we choose to consume. I believe in eating the foods I love with a healthy twist that still make them deliciously enjoyable and fulfills my cravings. I never restrict my body from any food that I truly want, this is why whenever I really crave something, let’s say I all of a sudden want some Talenti chocolate ice cream, then I’ll go ahead and eat some! Our bodies require a balance which means that while being healthy and eating clean, we need to also leave some room for indulgence when we crave it. We all have different body types that require different nutrients, vitamins, and exercise. It’s important to figure out what works for you and how you can adjust your lifestyle to not only be healthy, but more importantly be happy.
